The Sapp Bros. team of drivers works tirelessly, delivering every gallon and logging every mile to serve our customers year-round.
Recently, we took a moment to honor those who showed exemplary service, maintaining high standards in safety and professionalism at a celebration dinner on Feb. 27, 2026.
Throughout 2025, these drivers had perfect records with no reported accidents, citations, or spills/mixed products. Celebrating 50 drivers in total, this group distinguished itself among its peers by demonstrating a strong commitment to the job.
“At Sapp Bros., our professional drivers are the heart and soul of our company,” said Craig Frantz, president of Sapp Bros. Petroleum. “This is one of my favorite nights of the year when we have the chance to get together and celebrate those drivers who have qualified for our Driver of the Year program, which is truly a remarkable accomplishment given all the challenges that our drivers have to navigate on a day-to-day basis. We are so thankful and proud of our drivers.”
With drivers across eight states and seven regions, Sapp Bros. leadership honored a top driver from each region.

Greg Reitz named 2026 Driver of the Year
After careful consideration, Sapp Bros. leadership proudly honored Ogallala’s Greg Reitz as the 2026 Sapp Bros. Driver of the Year.
Greg, a Sapp Bros. driver for over 23 years, is frequently requested by customers by name. The reason is simple: he provides reliable service, always with a smile on his face. His exceptional customer service skills have fostered lasting relationships over the years — an achievement he takes great pride in.
Striving to always improve, Greg’s attention to detail and willingness to take on any job have played a large role in his dedication to safety.
The Western Region is very proud of Greg Reitz,” said Levi Powell, regional operations manager. “He is one of our most reliable drivers, always arriving at work on time with a bright smile and an infectious positive attitude that lifts the entire team. His attention to detail and commitment to safety make him an outstanding example for everyone, especially when he helps train new employees.”
Along with the award, Greg was presented with a custom, hand-crafted wood sign, Driver of the Year jacket, and a cash prize.
Congratulations to Greg for receiving the top honor for 2026!
