Companies all across the country (including Sapp Bros.) are making changes to their fleets now and are already realizing real fuel cost savings. The average posted price of CNG at our pump is $2.10. Considering today’s gasoline and diesel price averages utilizing CNG can save 40% of fuel costs from running on gasoline and 54% of fuel costs from running on diesel.

Domestic Supply and Production

America has an abundance of natural gas! In recent years, exploration and extraction companies have been discovering new technologies and techniques to harvest it. As the national storage and pipeline infrastructure grow we believe CNG will grow in its relevancy to American automotive transportation industry. In fact, we think it is already starting to happen!

A Cleaner Fuel

Along with the economic benefits of CNG, it’s is a considerably cleaner-burning fuel; producing less exhaust emission than gasoline or diesel! Below are some of the most significant exhaust emissions that are reduced when burning CNG vs. conventional gasoline or diesel:

  • Nitrogen oxides (NOx) by 75 to 95%
  • Carbon monoxide (CO) by 70 to 90%
  • Non-methane organic gas (NMOG) by 50 to 75%
  • Carbon dioxide (CO2) by 20 to 30%
